This clever, petite, totem piece references the native legends and stories of the mosquito. One version tells how ancient folks dug a pit to capture the giant who was terrorizing their village. Once he fell into the pit, they burned him. The giant was so angry that he cursed them and his ashes turned into millions of mosquitos to pester humans for ever more! Perhaps by turning this familiar little annoyance into a small bronze sculpture, the Regats have left one less around to bite us or buzz in our ears? A neat piece with a touch of humor.
